Since the LinuxQuestions.org forum upgrade, users can now have their own "blog" within the forum.

This is a useful little feature and I find that it's a good place to post short Linux snippets and notes. I will still be posting full fledged articles here, but you can also check out the blog there for small random Linux notes which you might occasionally find useful.

Here is my Little Linux tidbits at LQ.org.

  1. Hi Hari,I didn't even know you could have LQ-hosted blogs! So, thank you for letting me know... ;)Simple yet sleek theme - I like it! Now I'm off to read your third last post (looks good!) :)Max

  2. Good to see it being used for it's correct purpose - a blog :) Most people seem content to either post one line "look, I have an LQ blog" or put their questions up.Very odd.

  3. Hi Max,Yes, the theme is my own creation from scratch. The help for designing a theme for wordpress can be found at http://codex.wordpress.orgRay, maybe something has to be done about that. Just a short message requesting people to post their questions in the forum when they are about to post a blog entry might be a good idea.

  4. I think the ratio of people who read notices to people who don't is seriously skewed. We still get questions submitted as tutorials! No matter, it's why we're paid the big bucks :)
