My own new theme

I have finally designed my own WordPress theme from scratch. I would sure like some feedback on the theme, including errors found if any. There are a few problems rendering with IE 6 (arghh!) mainly due to IE's CSS limitations, with a few tweaks I am sure I can fix those.

  1. Renders (almost!) the same in my IE as in Firefox. I wouldn't loose any sleep over it :o)Nice format - easy on the eyes, clear layout, and stands out from the crowd so much better than a standard Blogger template.Now, if only you had an icon appear in your URL/bookmark entry. . . :o)

  2. Oh, and add a warning that smilies will be automatically translated, so people who add noses to theirs don't get caught out ;)

  4. Hi, Dominic, the FavIcon has been added now. About smileys, I'm not really sure which ones are present and which aren't. I guess it'll have to be a guesswork. There is no smiley administration in WordPress Control panel. :-(By the way, I've now made it fully XHTML 4.0 Transitional compliant and the CSS validates correctly too. :-)

  6. Titanium geek, thanks for the feedback! :-) The favicon should display if you refresh the page holding shift. Initially it doesn't update in the browser, but I got it after refreshing the page.

  8. argh- my firefox has been flaky and restarting etc- but I can see it now (tried the shift-refresh, didn't work) I really like the favicon!

  9. Ray, I don't understand why the favicon works only in the home page. I'll think of why it does this. Thanks for bringing it up!Titanium_geek, thanks. I designed it with GIMP.
