Two top programmes on television currently

Following a round of intense voting and heated discussion between the panel judges, the Papa Hari TV Awards 2009 committee proudly presents the winners...

(hold your applause, hold your applause!)

Rejecting an entire range of crappy, mindless reality television programming and mediocre, interminable soap operas (also known as mega-serials), a majority of the voters picked:

Colour band monotone
and
Television white noise

(These television shows can be enjoyed on any TV set all the year round at no additional cost and guaranteed NO commercial breaks. Ask your television manufacturer for additional details, TODAY!!)

  1. Awesome, those are the only two channels on my set. Thank goodness I got the cream of the crop.

The alternative of course is Malaysian National TV, which is indescribable outside abstract metaphors involving the simultaneous retching of baby cockroaches throughout the universe.

  2. Dion, I'm glad your viewing pleasure will now be enhanced thanks to the Papa Hari seal of approval...

By the way, along the lines of vi vs emacs, I am now starting a historical debate.

Is the white noise better than the colour bands? Personally, I prefer the white noise, as the sound is soothing and the grains are way more interesting than solid colour blocks.

  3. Not currently having a set means I get neither of those awesome programs. Not much of a loss though, really. I'm personally into more interactive forms of entertainment. Like playing tennis. Outside.

And what is that in the white noise? hmm.. mysterious.

  4. Tim, I also prefer more interactive forms of entertainment. :-D

That "ghostly form" is actually supposed to be a reflection on the tube.

  5. I have a TV that I rarely turn on. When I do, I don't even look at it. It's just mindless noise to me most of the time.

There are specific TV shows I watch, but I don't watch them on the TV.

  6. RT, I agree with you. Even with a hundred odd private channels and dozens of "entertainment" channels, none of them have any quality programming worth watching.
