Well, Amby used to be the King of Indian Roads for decades. Ambassadors are rarer in the cities these days, but in the rural parts it's still a car that is preferred for its ruggedness and comfort. Wonderful car with a great street presence. Taken from our car during our recent trip to Madurai. |

You can see the usual tea shop with a stack of plastic chairs for visitors. Also the colour of the house is typical of rural India. You get bright blue, green and yellow. This was taken somewhere in the Melur district while passing through a village. |

More scenes from National Highway 45 somewhere south of Tiruchirapalli. This was taken from a moving car en-route Chennai from Madurai. I have ramped up the colour to give it a serene, painted look. |

Taken en-route Chennai from Madurai somewhere between Madurai and Tiruchirapalli on NH45 from inside the car. The scenery in this region is far more beautiful than North Tamil Nadu, which is usually barren and a lot drier. |

This is one of those un-spectacular sunsets, but extremely serene in my humble opinion. While I love those spectacular hues of those brilliant sunrises/sunsets, I also enjoy this kind. In fact I had to crank up the saturation a bit |
