I cannot believe that this blog has actually completed seven years of existence; and that too without missing a single month. I emphasize that last phrase because I came very close to missing it on a few occasions and just avoided it. Sometimes consciously, in order to maintain the record.
I am not sure whether this is a big enough reason to merit a celebration, but I think it deserves at least a mention. And of course, it serves as an excellent opportunity to re-connect with my readers and online friends, if I have any left.
Fact is, I have used this blog for several reasons over the course of its existence, but I think most importantly as a medium of creative expression. I have also posted some random current affairs opinion pieces and philosophical essays here and there that smack of boring newspaper editorials, but I have always tried to keep the real world out of it, especially in recent years. There is no dearth of opinion on current issues on the internet and once the blogging novelty wore off, I didn't particularly feel a strong need to add my own to the voices, except on rare occasions. On the other hand, I have enjoyed posting up my comics, artwork, Papa Hari brand of humour and tech stuff, particularly the HowTos and tutorials.

And finaly thank you for reading and continuing to read this blog, even if rarely. Over the years, it has always helped to know that some of my online friends still continue to follow my writings. While some blog buddies from way back have disappeared from the www completely and a few without even an e-mail address that I am aware of, and others have slowed down or stopped blogging for different reasons, I still value their friendship and continue to try and keep in touch with those still around.
