Here's a random comic I drew today. This cartoon is part of a new series, entitled "Boxi and Panjo." Something different from the usual "Geeky and Meeky" stuff. Hope you enjoy it.

  1. Good work on the staging of both panels. Coloring's nice too. The wording on the 2nd panel is throwing me off. "You're sure to get a hole in one... but not today." may make it clearer. Does that help?

  2. Krishna, I thought of different ways to set up that joke, but I felt that his run-on sentence: "you're sure to get a hole in one day's time at this rate" split into two panels was a bit more humourous :?:

I guess I can only improve with tips from the pros like you. Thanks a lot for your comments.

  3. Just a lay person here- I liked this one! Maybe "sink a hole in one ... day" because you get a hole in one, but you don't get a hole? (Non golf person also. :) )

I reckon smart-alec guy (faceless guy) has some serious weight issues- check out the rolls on his neck. :>>

The golf swing looks very good, and I love the golfer's expression!

  4. Thanks titanium. Yes, I'll try to work on the wording and repost this comic :>> About the golf swing - that took so much effort to draw and after seeing a few photos of golfers' swing from the back view. Before that the result was crappy.

  8. The fat one is Boxi and the other one is Panjo. In these cartoons, I'm going to explore more visual humour than is possible with "Geeky and Meeky." The next comic is ready, but I'm not going to swamp the blog with comics. :))

  10. titanium, I thought about it, but that would mean another site to maintain and more work. Right now the blog works fine for me. I will definitely consider moving to a new domain once/if a get a serious archive of work done.

  11. Why don't you send your cartoons to some print media? say gOERGO in Chennai?

  14. Will do, Drew. Thanks for the suggestion. Now I need a way to lift my paypal spending limit (without adding a credit card as I don't have one yet)
