Well, the North-East monsoon had been busy this November in our city (and indeed all over the state). Here are some photos taken from the front balcony of our house on a rainy day (taken a few weeks ago).

  1. I'm seeing horizontal and vertical scrolls-page would have looked nice without them

  2. That's wet! You sure see a lot more color that I do right now. Well, at least the colors are more pronounced. Here, with the snow finally here and with the angle of the sun, its less colorful and the feeling is a bit more of starkness and loneliness. When the snow hangs on the trees, etc, it looks more comforting, but I envy you your lush color right now, hari - despite the wet walking.

  3. No fair! When we get rain everything goes grey. When you get rain you still get technicolour!

  4. Shrinidhi, I removed the table which caused the problem.

MrCorey, the sky was still very grey during the rains and of course it gets dark relatively early at this time.

Ray, tropical rains do differ from the rains you get up there in your country. Each country has its own speciality. Of course my photos didn't show the uglier side of the rains here: the flooding, the open drainage, the damaged roads and so on...

  6. It's also amazing how quickly the top layer of tar roads get peeled off. Quality of work is lacking as contractors cut corners to save costs (including the cost of corruption).
