Hello, are you still there?

Whoever is reading this blog and is expecting to find something new, I hope you stick around a little while longer. This is one of those periodic slowdowns that happen and I can find absolutely nothing to write about these days. Even my creative juices are at an all time low.

I'm not sure whether this has to do with my daily work routine now (yes, I'm currently going to a lawyer's office part of my time) but I think it's been like this for a while now.

The problem has always been that I'm not big on writing about myself. I find it boring to talk about things I do in real life. I always consider blogging as a kind of relaxation and I don't wish to turn it into a boring life-journal. On the other hand, this also takes away a lot of topics I could otherwise write about regularly. I also don't feel like writing about legal topics of late because to be honest it reminds me too much of work. The one thing I could do if I had more free time is to revive my comics. Hopefully I can find the time and energy to do so. I've never been entirely satisfied with life (in general) unless I have a regular creative outlet.

  1. I fully expect that you will pull out of the funk. I, too, have been low on the production level regarding writing. Its a shame, as I now have a stable, fast, and secure web host.

  2. Thanks, MrCorey. Yes, blogging has generally gone on a low recently. Even my friends, including you, have slowed down and I suppose that has a cascading effect. Maybe RT will have a few tips to share.

  4. I blame it on the heat. Since I've been working inside hyper-air-conditioned buildings for the last 10 years, I can't handle it. And, its been so hot here for so much longer this summer. Usually, we get a few days of 30°C + days, but not weeks on end. I'm not used to it.

    MrCorey, heat is a good reason to feel tired and uninspired. But actually it's been rainy on and off here of late and it's not been that hot. I blame the whole thing on the extra work I'm doing these days. All the mental work has completely drained my creativity. I'm hoping to rectify that!

  12. I rarely visit blogs anymore and I rarely keep my own sites updated. I tend to do most computing while at work since it's my job and a majority of my time away from work is family, reading and gardening.

  14. The only insight I can add to all of this is to find something you LIKE writing about, something that isn't a chore. I often follow a specific subject until it bores me and then I move onto something else. No one says you have to post more than once or twice a month, except the wannabe gurus.
