Papa Hari News Service

Papa HariA former intolerant, hate-spewing, bigoted, racist extremist sought the forgiveness of the world for his former sins and desired to reform completely. Speaking to Papa Hari World News mediapersons at his residence, he admitted that he had been extremely intolerant and bigoted in his worldviews and wanted the world to forgive and accept him into the fold of civil society.

"I used to be such an a******", he said frankly before the camera, "and now, having realized my sins, I want the help of society to reform and become a complete human being once again."

Asked how he planned to reform, he said, "I want to travel the world, see different cultures, eat their food, learn their values, and absorb and celebrate their diversity. Unfortunately I am a working lower middle-class man with little funds or opportunity to achieve this transformation in my character. I plead to civil society, particularly social activists and humanists to donate generously to my cause to cover my food, first-class travel, seven-star accommodation and clothing expenses. For this, I have opened a crowdfunding page at Kickstarter."

Asked why society should contribute to his reformation, he said that it was society's duty to reduce intolerance and celebrate diversity and his reformation would be an important step towards the goal. "I am a reborn soul today but not yet fully integrated into normal society," he said, "By the way, the crowd funding should cover the cost of a new high-end DSLR camera and a gaming laptop so that I can visually and verbally record my experiences in the richness of different cultures and ethnic diversity. I intend to travel across all continents, but doing so in economy class would tire me out and I wouldn't be able to do justice to this glorious task. I will later be releasing a complete photo-book of my travels and adventures. Society will become richer for it." He said the gaming laptop would also help him unwind with 3d First-Person Shooter games at the end of a tiring day. Asked why the world should fund a luxury holiday, he said that it was not a holiday but a pilgrimage of humanism.

When asked for their reactions, several liberals and social activists expressed scepticism saying that it would be impossible to help out each and every reformed bigot in this way, but suggested that the Papa Hari World Government could start a new TV channel on propagating tolerance in society and culture which would reach the reformed bigots at a fraction of the cost. "They could watch the TV programmes and gain much knowledge," quipped an activist, adding, "the past Governments have provided free colour TVs before Elections and facilitated this at zero cost to the reformed souls."

The reformed bigot could not be reached for his comments. It was speculated by neighbours that he had already embarked on his world tour.
