Since I've uploaded some photos of mine on to Flickr, I thought I might as well share a few of my favourites right here. Please feel free to comment on them (either here or at Flickr) if you like any of them.
The above came out pretty crisp (it was a moving train I took it from) and I'm very happy with the result!
A breath-taking view of Mount Titlis (again taken from a moving train). I am glad I took these snaps when I did, because they are rare opportunities!
A view of Geneva lake in the night. I kept the camera on a nearby ledge to get a crisp night-mode shot in the absence of a tripod.
I'm sure many of my blog regulars will recognize this sunset photo. I used a part of this image in a header of an earlier blog theme.
Tree in the sunset. This was again a rare opportunity and I took it (while on a road trip near my native place). I took two of these with different camera modes, but this one is the more natural lighting.
A photo of a hillock in the distance. Taken from a moving car during a road trip to my native place.
A photo taken during a Singapore visit. This one was during the obligatory boat ride on the Singapore river.
Photo taken during our visit to Singapore Zoo. The little bit of greenery on the island provided a splash of colour to the picture which I found very attractive.
So do please take a look at my
Flickr photostream and let me know which ones you like.

I've now added a
photos page to this website. It pulls out the RSS feed of my public
Flickr photostream and displays it neatly in a table.
Hopefully this is a good solution. Flickr is quite convenient as a desktop tool as well, so this way of embedding photos on my page saves me my website bandwidth as well

I am looking for a simple PHP based photo album tool to display a gallery on this website, but I am surprised to find that the majority of PHP based albums are huge and bloated (
gallery 2 is the biggest monster I've found so far).
I don't want multiple users, I don't want unlimited depth of categories - I just want to create a simple set of albums of photos and display them in a neat way.
And oh, it should be easily themeable. So far I've found only tools that are either upwards of 5 MB and come with severe bloat in terms of features or those which are so lightweight that they don't even have a commenting system.
If nothing else, I might be tempted to brush up my PHP skills again and write my own. (or should I use Python?)

I have been busy writing content and promoting my new forum website
Law Students Community and I haven't had much time or energy left to write on general topics.
Yes, writing on specific topics is demanding, especially because I have to verify the accuracy of the information I supply. Opinions can be expressed far more easily.
It is rewarding though. Hopefully you can find some topics of interest on my forum. Registration is not necessary so do drop by with your comments if you find something interesting.

Message from the admin/owner
Since October 2004, LiteraryForums.org has been live and I've had plenty
of time and opportunity to make it a success. For the last few years
however, it has not grown large enough to sustain itself as a forum
community. I have done my best to promote it and I thank all the users
who have participated in the forum. For myself, I feel sad at having
to close it down at this stage, but I think it is in my best interests
that I move on with other projects and other interests.
Having invested several years in my online community it was not easy to
make this decision, but I must face the fact that it has lost direction
and is no longer active as a community for the last year or so even.
If one member were interested I would have kept it alive, but facts are
facts. The majority of the few posts I got in the last few months are
by spammers. It wasn't worth continuing.
If you have found this page through a search engine and are looking for
any particular page, I apologize again for wasting a few minutes of your
time. Please check the google cache of the URL you found and if you are
lucky you might find the original content.
What I am going to do with the domain I've not yet decided. Keep it, sell it or let it expire?
